In late March, YG’s song “Meet the Flockers” from its first studio album “My Krazy Life” released in 2014 sparked racial controversy. This is because the lyrics at the beginning of the song have become a hot topic again in line with the recent #StopAsianHate movement.
Previously, YouTube refused to delete “Meet the Flockers,” saying it would “be a precedent to prevent freedom of expression of numerous other rap and rock music.”
But about a week later, YG’s “Meet the Flockers” and the track-based album “My Krazy Life” disappeared from various platforms, including YouTube. [My Krazy Life] is currently not available on many major streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
At present, only a few platforms such as Tidal can hear [My Krazy Life] normally.
