(PRESSREELS) The late SHINee Jonghyun’s “End of a Day” has been reborn as an orchestra version.
The orchestra version of “The End of the Day” was released at 6 p.m. on the 24th, in collaboration with SM Entertainment and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.
The orchestra version of “End of a Day,” which was introduced through SM STATION, was released as a music source on various music sites, and official videos were also released on YouTube and Naver TV’s SM Town channels.
“End of a Day” is a song in Jong-hyun’s solo prop book “Story Op.1” in 2015, and has given many music fans sympathy and comfort with warm lyrics such as “Good work, good work, and I hope my two hands with heavy shoulders will also be a warm comfort at the end of your tired day.” In particular, after Jong-hyun passed away in 2017, his words “Tell Me You Did Well” were released, which still made many people remember Jong-hyun.
The orchestra version was arranged by world-renowned string composer and film music director Park In-young to delicately express the vocal melody with beautiful melodies of wind and string instruments. Jeonju sampled Debussy’s “Claire de lune” to add to the lyrical atmosphere.
The proceeds from the music will be donated to Shiny, a foundation founded by the family of Jonghyun, the original songwriter and composer. Shiny is preparing to build and operate a center for psychological counseling and healing in order to encourage the growth of artists dedicated to cultural and artistic activities and to support the improvement of their abilities.
