Deadline reports on April 28 that Casey Hammer, the granddaughter of famous businessman Armand Hammer and aunt of Army Hammer, will star in a documentary series with Talos Films, about her family. She has signed an exclusive deal with Talos Films, the production company behind Discovery+’s Queen of Meth and Disney+’s Family Reboot, to develop a docuseries about the Hammer family.
The documentary talks about the dark sides of the notorious Hammer family. Actor Armie Hammer, famous for his film “Call Me By Your Name,” has been at the center of controversy for his bizarre sexual tastes and obscene messages. He is also under police investigation for alleged sexual assault.
The Armie Hammer controversy is not the family’s first. His great-grandfather, Julius Hammer, was convicted of first-degree manslaughter after the death of his wife, a Russian diplomat who underwent an abortion. Armand Hammer’s son Julian killed a man after being in debt for gambling. Casey Hammer revealed in her 2015 book that her father Julian sexually abused her as a child.
In the documentary, Casey Hammer will reveal the families of the family. “As a survivor, I want to help others speak up,” he said, working as a kitchen designer away from his family.
