(PRESSREELS) After a massive 2019, Billie Eilish only slowed down a little in 2020. The Grammy-winning pop star started the year by releasing her James Bond soundtrack ‘No Time To Die’, which became a big international hit.
Over summer, she shared another new single titled ‘My Future’ and now it is time for her third and most upbeat single of this year, titled ‘Therefore I Am’.
The track was of course co-written by Billie and her brother Finneas, who also produced the tune. ‘Therefore I Am’ is a whole lot more uptempo than its two predecessors and in terms of groove and vibe, more similar to a song like ‘All The Good Girls Go To Hell’. In the lyrics, Eilish takes aim at the people who use her name for their own gain.
“I’m not your friend or anything. Damn, you think that you’re the man. I think, therefore, I am”, she whisper-sings over the pulsing beat of the chorus. Eilish also recorded a playful self-directed music video in which she dances through an empty mall while grabbing some snacks.
