(PRESSREELS) The group BLACKPINK has topped four Gaon charts, a local official music chart.
According to the Gaon Chart for the 27th week of 2020 (2020.06.28-2020.07.04), BLACKPINK’s new song “How You Like That” swept the top of the digital, download and streaming charts. The top social chart player was also Black Pink.
BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That,” which was announced on the 26th of last month, has been firmly at the top of the list for 14 days on Melon and Bugs, the largest music sites in Korea.
BLACKPINK has been recording new records not only in Korea but also in the global charts. “How You Like That” first entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 at 33rd place and the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart at 20th place, breaking the all-time high ranking of K-pop girl groups. In addition, it won three gold medals on QQ Chart, China’s largest music site, and became the first female artist to surpass 2 million downloads on the chart.
The music video is also very popular. The music video for “How You Like That” was officially listed on the Guinness World Records in a total of five categories, including “Most views of YouTube videos within 24 hours of its release,” with 86.3 million views on the first day. Since then, it has proved its global impact by setting a record of 100 million views in about 32 hours and 200 million views in seven days, the shortest time in YouTube music video history.
