BTS’ solo song “Hope World” by J-Hope (real name Jung Ho-seok) has also captivated Chile, setting a reverse record.
According to iTunes, ‘Hope World’ topped the Chilean iTunes song chart on June 5. “Hope World” is a song that was included in a mix tape of the same name (non-regular free album) released by J-Hope in March 2018. The song topped Chile’s latest hits two years and three months after its release.
Music critic Kim Young-dae said about the song “Hope World” in his review book “The REVIEW,” introducing J-Hope’s determination as an artist with a unique cheerful vibe. The passion and creative passion for music that I have kept as a group is said to be a world of ‘hope world,’ or j-hope’s world and optimistic ‘hopeful’.”
The mix tape “Hope World” has entered Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200” for the second consecutive week for the first time as a Korean solo artist. The record of ranking 63rd in the first week of its release was tallied in just 14 hours, and in the second week, it rose 25 notches to 38th. The title track “Daydream” topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart. Also, ‘Hope World’ topped the iTunes album chart in 63 countries in just one day, and has been steadily loved since then, topping the list in 79 countries accumulated so far.
