(PRESSREELS) On July 16, Big Hit Entertainment quoted the recent results of domestic and foreign music charts and reported that BTS achieved a new global hit with its fourth full-length Japanese album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~.”
In detail, BTS’ fourth full-length Japanese album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~” topped the Oricon Daily Top Album in 81 countries including Japan, the U.S., Canada and the U.K., with sales of 447,869 copies, more than double that of its third full-length Japanese album “FACE YOURSELF.”
The record is meaningful in that it strongly reveals BTS’ global position in line with the top iTunes song of 84 countries, which was pre-released last month, the ninth place in Billboard’s “Bubbling Under Hot 100,” and the first place in “World Digital Song Sales.”
Meanwhile, BTS made up a total of 13 Japanese songs, including the original Japanese songs “Stay Gold” and “Your Eyes Tell” on July 15, as well as the Japanese version of the title track “ON” and the Japanese version of “Black Swan” released in February.
