(PRESSREELS) The group BTS set its own best record with “Stay Gold,” a pre-released song from its fourth full-length Japanese album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~.”

BTS released the title track “Stay Gold” of “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~” at 6 p.m. on the 19th at the same time around the world. Immediately after its release, it topped the iTunes “Top Song” chart in 82 countries and regions, including Japan, the United States, Britain, Brazil, France and India, as of 9 a.m. on the 20th.

After topping the iTunes “Top Song” charts in 43 countries and regions with the Japanese single “Lights” released in July last year, it reached its highest Japanese song record in about a year.

In particular, the song entered the real-time charts right after its release on local music sites. This is the first time that BTS’ original Japanese song has been on the Korean music site’s real-time charts.

“Stay Gold” is a medium te에mpo song with a message saying, “There are not only good things in the world, but I hope you don’t lose that sparkle.” BTS’ soft voice and harmony stand out.

BTS has been on record in Japan for days. In Japan’s “Oricon First Half Ranking 2020,” which was released on the 19th, he topped the “Album Ranking” with his fourth full-length album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7,” and also ranked second in the “Total Ranking” category in the “Sales by Artist” category and second in the “Total Ranking” category.

BTS will release “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~” on the 15th of next month. In addition to “Stay Gold,” a total of 13 songs will be included, including the Japanese version of “On,” the title track of “Your Eyes Tell” and “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7,” which member Jungkook participated in composing.
