(PRESSREELS) The solo songs of the group BTS member V occupied iTunes in the United Arab Emirates.
V’s solo songs came up side by side on the UAE’s iTunes Top Song Chart on Friday. It was followed by “Stigma” in first place, “Sweet Night” in second place and “Singularity” in third place.
Second-ranked “Sweet Night” topped the list on June 13.
The popularity of ‘Stigma’ is not only in the UAE. To mark the seventh anniversary of his debut, he was ranked No. 1 on the iTunes Top Song Chart in Singapore, Vietnam, Kenya, and Indonesia. In addition to the UAE, Kenya, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia ranked No. 1 on the iTunes Top Song Chart in four countries, the Philippines and Indonesia as of Friday. It is re-entering iTunes top song charts in 66 countries, including Kazakhstan, Brazil and Chile.
V’s popularity in the Arab world is so strong that his solo songs are lining up the charts. V’s other solo song “Sweet Night” topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in all Arab countries where iTunes can be aggregated, including Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
“Inner Child” maintained its No. 1 spot on the iTunes Top Song Chart for 113 hours in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, setting a record of No. 1 for the longest time among K-pop solo artists.
Arab celebrities also expressed their special affection for V. Hind al-Qatani, a famous Saudi celebrity, picked BTS as his favorite group among K-pop artists on Instagram Live and said V was his “best favorite.”
When Kuwait’s famous writer Meshaal Hamad held the most beautiful photo contest, Rose, a famous model from Saudi Arabia, even recommended V’s picture.
Meanwhile, to mark the seventh anniversary of V’s debut, V’s UAE fan club, Taehyung Dubai United Arab Emirates, along with the Philippine fan club “TagusPH,” is giving generous support by holding a congratulatory advertisement on the billboard of SM Mall, Asia’s largest shopping mall.
