(PRESSREELS) BTS and its agency Big Hit Entertainment won the “Integrated Campaigns and Events” category at the 2020 UNICEF Inspire Awards for their “LOVE MYSELF” campaign.
According to the Korean Committee for UNICEF on the 22nd, UNICEF Inspire Awards is an award given to UNICEF headquarters by selecting the most inspiring campaign for people around the world in 18 categories. This year, 100 campaigns from 50 countries were screened, and “LOVE MYSELF” was selected as the best campaign in the “Integrated Campaigns and Events” category after online voting by UNICEF staff around the world and screening by headquarters judges. The “Integrated Campaigns and Events” section awards campaigns that have combined the greatest influence and inspiration in various areas, including promoting children’s rights, raising funds and promoting them.

This award of the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign is the result of informing the reality of child and youth violence around the world through UNICEF promotion booths in and around concert halls in Britain, Hong Kong and Thailand, where BTS’ world tour was held throughout 2019, and sharing the value of true love for me with fans around the world.
BTS and Big Hit Entertainment signed an agreement with the UNICEF Korea Committee in November 2017 to sponsor UNICEF’s global campaign #ENDviolence to eradicate violence against children and adolescents and have launched the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign in the message “Love for me begins with true love.” They have been deeply moved and inspired by various activities, including supporting the operation of UNICEF promotional booths in each country where the world tour is held and delivering messages of consolation and courage for children and teenagers around the world.
Lee Ki-chul, secretary-general of the UNICEF Korea Committee, said, “BTS Dan’s message that love for others can also begin in loving themselves is creating positive changes around the world. I think this award is the result of BTS’ good influence to convey courage and comfort to children and teenagers in the global community. I’m really proud of being the same Korean, and I’d like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude once again to BTS and Big Hit Entertainment, which always actively support UNICEF’s #ENDViolence Campaign,” he said.
