Dr. Dre – Nicole Young’s divorce suit faces another phase this week. News agency DailyMail says the Los Angeles High Court sentenced Dre to more than $500,000 in alimony on the 27th. In the sense of sharing some of Young’s legal expenses, ordered him to pay Young within 10 days.
Half a million dollars is a large amount, but in fact, it’s only about 10% of what Young asks of Dre. Young asks Dre to pay $5 million during the lawsuit under the name of “lawyer’s fee.” Young is also asking Dre to provide 2 million dollars per month in the name of “marriage support.” Meanwhile, Dre is known to spend $293,000 per month in litigation.
The judge ruled as follows.

“By the next day of hearing on the case, the court will approve the payment of $500,000 (KRW 554.25 million) to the plaintiff’s lawyers.”
The ruling states, “The costs must be paid to the plaintiff’s lawyers by May 7th.”
In Tuesday’s defense, Dr. Dre’s new lawyer, Joe Mannis, appeared. Young succeeded in removing Dre’s powerful lawyers, Laura Wasser and Howard King, from the lawsuit in April, citing a “conflict of interest.” Howard King has previously defended both Young and Dre. Young filed for divorce from Dre in June 2020 and claimed abuse. The point of this lawsuit is whether the couple acknowledges the consent form made before marriage. In 1996, Young and Dre signed a prenuptial agreement together but broke it in a sense that promised love.
News agency Blast said last week that the court-approved Dr. Dre as “single” with the consent of both sides. The documents acknowledge that both Dre and Young are legally single and include remarry after the divorce process. According to the documents, the marriage relationship between the two ends on April 15. In future litigation, it is expected that the ruling will be centered mainly on the economic side.
