
(PRESSREELS) GFRIEND recently released its new mini-album, “回: Song of the Sirens,” and made a complete transformation with its title track “Apple.” This album features music that breaks away from the existing GFRIEND colors, starting with dark makeup and fancy styling that has never been introduced before.
The dramatic change in GFRIEND’s visual appearance in its sixth year since its debut has been a hot topic in itself. This is also a gauge of the members’ efforts for continued growth.
Musical growth also stood out. GFRIEND has also strengthened its position as an artist by participating in producing songs for this album.

Starting with their debut song “Glass Beard” in 2015, GFRIEND quickly emerged as a popular girl group through a school trilogy series represented by “Power Innocence” from “Me Gustas Tu” and “Rough.” GFRIEND showed off its unique charm with powerful performances while conveying the emotion of a pure girl.
Through “Fingertip,” “Love Whisper” and “Summer Rain,” the group showed various charms, encompassing chic and emotional aspects while maintaining the team’s identity as pure.
Since then, from ‘Time For The Moon Night’, ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Fever,’ GFRIEND has sung about deeper love. He showed his mature side with passionate choreography suitable for a faint emotion, and transformed himself into a self-reliant figure to win love, not just waiting for love to come.
And GFRIEND has successfully made the biggest changes through the ‘回’ series this year. They are writing their own growth narratives based on high-quality visual contents. If the previous work “回: LABYRINTH” expressed the complex state of the girl’s mind at a crossroads of choice, the new album “回: Song of the Sirens” tells the story of a girl who shakes before temptation.
Above all, GFRIEND announced a drastic change with a new concept of “Clean Witch.” She showed off her unique concept of digesting with her seductive “witch performance,” as well as expressing her honest and confident female image in her desire.
Changes in GFRIEND are also leading to sexual performance. In the first week of the comeback alone, the sales volume of the album exceeded 67,000 copies, breaking its own record, and ranking first at the same time with its title track “Apple.”
