(PRESSREELS) BTS Jimin’s production song “Friend” is once again drawing global attention to mark “International Friendship Day.”
The 2011 “International Friendship Day,” designated by the United Nations, is one of the international anniversaries commemorating friendships between people, countries and cultures, and the date is July 30.
On July 30, the overseas media “Gen Sindo” introduced BTS Jimin’s production song “Friends” as a celebration of “International Friendship Day,” detailing songs such as “Dreamcatcher” and pinky fingers, as well as dumpling incident, an episode of his trainee years with member V.
In addition, Jimin’s production song “Friends” is said to have been transmitted on two channels – Portuguese radio channels “Radio Radical” and “Radio Escuro” – to mark “International Friendship Day” and imprinting “Friendship Day,” an international anniversary that was somewhat unfamiliar to the public.
“Friend,” sung together by Jimin and V, is all the more meaningful because on the occasion of “International Friendship Day” in 2019, BTS and UNICEF together appealed for attention to teenagers and children around the world exposed to various violence at home, school and society, and released a special video of the message to the world that kindness and friendship can be a great help for those suffering from school violence.
Meanwhile, Jimin reaffirmed his ability as an artist by writing, composing and producing “Friend,” and recently proved his global popularity as he was selected as a song that comes to mind when it comes to “Friend,” beating famous pop singers Justin Bieber and Anne-Marie.
