All over the world, concerts and other events have been postponed due to the spreading of the coronavirus which is now pandemic but a lot of musicians like Coldplay and John Legend will still go on – but with a twist.

The guidelines for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that there should be no mass gatherings of more than 50 people and that includes events such as concerts, festivals and the likes.

Now, a concert will be organized through live streaming while fans would still be able to enjoy their music in the comfort of their own homes.

According to martin who organized the concert on Monday through the official Instagram of Coldplay, “I’m on my own, sort of, in the house where I live. I was supposed to be with the band Coldplay today from which I come but they are stuck in different countries, so we can’t play together. So, I thought what would be nice would be to check in with some of you out there and see where you are and what I can do for you … so I’m here at your service for the next 20-some minutes.”

Whereas John Legend also followed and would take live streaming from his official Instagram account, “My friend Chris Martin did a lovely little concert from home today. See you soon. We’ll try to get through this together!”

Keith Urban decided to go live from his warehouse and streamed for half an hour as well. Pink took to her Instagram and sang some of her songs, “Free concert slash piano lessons from my heart to yours.” Lizzo played an instrument in her video and wrote “A meditation and mantra to promote healing during this global crisis. Use it at your own pace. Love you!”

Meanwhile, here are the different cancellations in March from different artists.

March 17 – The Rolling Stones announced that their 15-date No Filter Tour has been postponed. “We’re hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour. We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were, but the health and safety of everyone have to take priority. We will all get through this together — and we’ll see you very soon.”

Guns N Roses postponed all of their upcoming South American tour dates.

Elton John has postponed his tour of Farewell Yellow Brick.

Marina canceled her April tour in the US.

Alanis Morrissette’s tour dates in Asia, New Zealand and Australia are postponed.

Louis Tomlinson canceled his last UK leg and said, “I’m sad to say that we have decided to reschedule my UK Tour that was due to start next week. We are working with the promoter and venues to make new plans as soon as possible but these things are taking a little longer at the moment.”

Vanessa Carlton’s Love Is An Art tour is also going to be rescheduled. She was explaining, “I will not put any of you in a position where you may become sick, so we must postpone our tour,”
