All over the world, concerts and other events have been postponed due to the spreading of the coronavirus which is now pandemic but a lot of musicians like Coldplay and John Legend will still go on – but with a twist.
The guidelines for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that there should be no mass gatherings of more than 50 people and that includes events such as concerts, festivals and the likes.
Now, a concert will be organized through live streaming while fans would still be able to enjoy their music in the comfort of their own homes.
According to martin who organized the concert on Monday through the official Instagram of Coldplay, “I’m on my own, sort of, in the house where I live. I was supposed to be with the band Coldplay today from which I come but they are stuck in different countries, so we can’t play together. So, I thought what would be nice would be to check in with some of you out there and see where you are and what I can do for you … so I’m here at your service for the next 20-some minutes.”
Whereas John Legend also followed and would take live streaming from his official Instagram account, “My friend Chris Martin did a lovely little concert from home today. See you soon. We’ll try to get through this together!”
Keith Urban decided to go live from his warehouse and streamed for half an hour as well. Pink took to her Instagram and sang some of her songs, “Free concert slash piano lessons from my heart to yours.” Lizzo played an instrument in her video and wrote “A meditation and mantra to promote healing during this global crisis. Use it at your own pace. Love you!”
