Lil Nas X, who recently topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts with “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name),” refutes haters claiming to be successful because he was gay.

Lil Nas X said, “Everyone said that I was successful because I was gay, but you guys can’t even name five gay artists who have succeeded in the past ten years.”

People tried to write the names of 5 artists in this post, but many failed, this time raising controversy over whether Lil Nas X dis another artist.

Also, Lil Nas X “I didn’t disrespect no one. I just let us know that it’s not easy for us to succeed like other fellow artists. Many male artists write songs about women, but why do they say I’m writing songs about men while they don’t complain. I can not understand it.” He expressed his position publicly.

y’all love saying i’m being gay for success but can’t name 5 successful gay male artists in the last 10 years to save your life

i’m not dissing anyone. i’m acknowledging the fact that we aren’t usually as successful as our peers. what’s not clicking starbucks spellman. https://t.co/iyQfQzCRLG
