The series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” just lost one good actor, Brian Tarantina, who died from an accidental overdose, according to the New York City Medical Examiner.
According to CNN, the multiple drugs consisted of Fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and Diazepam. This intoxication created a hazardous mixture.
A spokesperson said, “On Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at approximately 0040 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious male inside of 353 West 51 Street, apartment 11, within the confines of the Midtown North Precinct,” and he added “Upon arrival, officers observed a 60-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, fully-clothed, on his couch. EMS responded to the location and pronounced the aided male deceased at the scene (his residence).”
According to TMZ, who was the first one to report about his death, the niece of the actor went to his apartment to check on him at the kitchen of his residence in Hell’s Kitchen around 12:30 a.m. and found him being unresponsive on his couch. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The actor died in November when the cops found his dead body in his Manhattan apartment, a white powdery substance nearby him. Tarantina played as Jackie in the series for the last three years, and he has had a long list of acting roles since 1980.
His acting career started when he was a student at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts in New York. He made his way into Broadway and Films. He played in tough-guy movies such as “Jacob’s Ladder, “Jerky Boys,” “Summer of Sam,” “Uncle Buck,” “Donnie Brasco,” and the likes. He also was engaged in different TV shows like “The Sopranos,” “NYPD Blue,” “Law and Order,” “Gilmore Girls,” and a lot more. His last movies were playing as “Burns,” a 2019 crime film “The Kitchen,” which starred Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss.
The star from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel posted on her Instagram a photo of him and said, “ So deeply sad to hear about the passing of Brian Tarantina. He was hilarious and talented and kind and an all-around golden fucking weirdo. Our family of weirds won’t be the same without him.
Tarantina is best known for the role in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” as the emcee at the Gaslight comedy club where the main character, Midge, performs.
Sadly, Fentanyl is one dangerous drug that played a role in the deaths of different stars like Tyler Skaggs, Lil Peep, Prince, and Mac Miller. Tarantina died at the age of 60.
Tarantina had been “ill” and trying to get over a heart related issue. According to a representative, “He was recently in the hospital and was in the process of recuperating from what I believe to be a heart-related issue.”
