The expectation of actor Youn Yuh-Jung’s Best Supporting Actress Award at the American Academy Awards is rising. According to “GOLDDERBY,” an online site that predicts the results of various awards ceremonies in Hollywood, USA, Youn Yuh-Jung is currently overwhelmingly ranked No. 1 in the vote for the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 2021 Academy Awards. It is known that various experts, editors, and general members participated in the poll.
As of 11:30 am on April 22nd, Korea time, Youn Yuh-Jung won a total of 4,853 votes. Second place was Maria Bakalova of <Borat Subsequent Moviefilm>, which won 550 votes, followed by <Hillbilly Elegy> Glenn Close, <Mank> Amanda Seyfried, and <The Father> Olivia Colman. ‘GOLDDERBY’ explained that if Youn Yuh-Jung wins the Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars, she will be the second Asian actor to win the Oscars for Best Supporting Actress after Miyoshi Umeki, who appeared in the 1957 film Sayonara.
