American entertainment media Deadline reported on the 8th, “Sony Pictures and Netflix have signed a multi-year exclusive disclosure contract. Accordingly, Sony Pictures’ movies that will be released from 2022 will be released exclusively on Netflix after the theater release.”.
According to reports, Netflix has promised to pay $1 billion over four years to win the monopoly among its many competitors.
As Netflix and Sony Pictures join hands, Marvel’s ‘Morbius,’ the popular game ‘Uncharted,’ and the sequel to the ‘Spider-Man’ series and ‘Bad Guys’ will be released through Netflix. However, this does not apply to ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and ‘Venom 2’ released this year.
In this regard, Netflix’s Scott Stuber said, “Sony Pictures is a great partner, and we are excited to expand our relationship with this contract.”
