(PRESSREELS) Red Velvet-Irene & Seulgi (Red Velvet – IRENE & SEULGI), the first unit of girl group Red Velvet, released its mini-album “Monster” on the 6th and made its debut to the public.

According to the agency SM Entertainment, the title track “Monster” tells the story of an immortal “Monster” that enters the other person’s dreams and makes them fall into dancing and playing. The heavy bass and powerful dubstep sound added to the relaxed yet charismatic vocals. That’s not all. If you watch the music video of “Monster,” which was released simultaneously with the song, you can’t take your eyes off it. It’s so unconventional that I think, “Is that Red Velvet’s, Irene and Seulgi?” It’s sexy. If you were looking for a transformation, “Perfect.”

Irene and Seulgi, who collaborated with chair dance in “Be Natural,” performed on SM TOWN, show perfect levels to match in “Monster.” Irene’s flexibility and Seulgi’s restrained dance addictive melodies entertained fans.

Irene and Seulgi also seem to have expected a public reaction that is inwardly surprising. In “The Story of My First Mini Album” before the album’s release, Irene said when she first heard “Monster,” she thought “it was different” and “strong.” Seulgi said, “I like songs that remind me of my image as soon as I listen to them, but I liked ‘Monster’ because it was a clear concept.” “You’ll be able to see a more wonderful and more intense charm than you’ve shown so far,” he said. “This time, I think it’s more intense. It’s our charm to show a different stage with a performance that can perfectly show our chemistry,” he said with confidence.

The music video for “Monster” has 15.86 million views on YouTube as of Tuesday morning. There are more than 178,000 comments. The reaction is hot. In addition to the title track “Monster,” the album contains songs that can properly feel the charm of Irene and Seulgi units, including “Diamond,” “Feel Good,” “Jelly” and “Uncover.” It feels like a gem.

Red Velvet is in its seventh year of debut this year. Prior to his debut, Irene went through a trainee period of five years and Seulgi seven years. Both of them are owners of the inner workings who have been working for more than 10 years. That kind of inner workings seem to shine properly in this “Monster.” The clear differentiation between the original group and the unit made it clearer why Red Velvet exists as a representative K-pop girl group
