Russell Crowe has revealed that he plays Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder. However, his mystery character has not yet been revealed by Marvel Studios.
On the 23rd Crowe posted a video on his Twitter, “I’m gonna get on my bicycle, I’m gonna ride up to Disney Fox Studios, and around about 9:15, I shall be Zeus!” Crowe revealed. “It’s for Thor 4,” he continued. “It’s my last day of Zeus’ing about and I’m going to enjoy it.”
Zeus rules over Mount Olympus as the Greek god of sky/thunder, which makes him a parallel to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. It’s already big news that MCU is adding Zeus in the movie. Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillen as Nebula and Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. The film arrives in theaters May 6, 2022.
