An OST for the Naver Webtoon animation Tower of God, sung by the group Stray Kids, will be released as a song.
Stray Kids announced the release of the Korean and English versions of its new digital single TOP on May 11 at midnight on its official SNS channel.
TOP will include “TOP,” the opening song of the Naver Webtoon animation Tower of God, and the ending theme song SLUMP.
The first track TOP is a lyric that contains the worldview of the work on a powerful melody, which captivated animation fans at once.
Based on its powerful rock sound, SLUMP expressed inner anxiety and weak emotions.
In-team producing group 3RACHA participated in writing, composing and arranging two songs, expressing the grand narrative of Tower of God in music.
Stray Kids sang the OST in three languages, Korean, English and Japanese, as the film will be aired in three countries, Korea, the United States and Japan.
Korean versions will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. on May 13, and English versions will be available on May 20.
Tower of God is a popular piece that has been published in a series since 2010 on Naver Webtoon and has surpassed 4.5 billion cumulative views worldwide.
Stray Kids was selected as the OST runner of the same name, which was produced based on this, drawing public attention.
Regarding the background of choosing Stray Kids as an artist who will be in charge of the OST for the global project Tower of God, an animation official from Naver Webtoon said, The powerful and delicate sound they create will be a great synergy as the worldview of the work fits well.
