Tom Brady has made things exciting for football fans. He is on his way to become part of the Buccaneers, officially.
He let the people know officially through his Instagram and wrote it “Excited, humble and hungry …if there is one thing I have learned about football, it’s that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that…you earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day. I’m starting a new football journey and thankful for the @buccaneers for allowing me to do what I love to do. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and coaches and proving to them that they can believe and trust in me…I have always believed that well done is better than well said, so I’m gonna not going to say much more – I’m just gonna get to work! #Year1”
According to ESPN, Tom Brady has a two-year deal with the Buccaneers. However, things would get a little difficult these days because NVL banned agents from traveling to the facilities of the teams that would mean Brady couldn’t be examined by the Buccaneers team doctors and that is needed to seal the deal. A physical exam is needed.
On the other hand, the team and Brady decided to leave out that part. He had a physical examination from an independent doctor on Thursday in New York City and the results were then officially sent to Tampa Bay and Brady finally got the go sign.
Being with the Patriots, Tampa Bay for 20 years, Brady had the urge to jump into something different.
Bruce Arians made a statement on the Buccaneers website and said “Tom is the most successful quarterback in the history of our league, but what makes him so special is his ability to make those around him better. I have had the privilege to work with some of the best passers in our game, and the characteristics they all possessed were the ability to lead and get the best out of their teammates. Tom is no different. He is a proven winner who will provide the leadership, accountability and work ethic necessary to lead us to our goal of winning another championship.”
The Buccaneers manager who was also a Patriots before seemed to be excited and said a lot of good things about the quarterback, “Tom is a proven champion who has achieved greatness on the field because he demands the best out of himself and his teammates.”
He added “I’ve known Tom since we drafted him in New England 20 years ago and through this process, it became very clear that his desire to be a champion burn as strong today as it ever has. He possesses the type of rare natural leadership qualities that will immediately impact our entire organization.”
His two-year contract with them is a guaranteed $50 million deal and would also include $4.5 million of incentives for each year. He will be making Brady is out of the top 10 QB in pay as he is only in the 12th in the NFL in AAV.
