There has not been so much going on lately with Gwyneth Paltrow, but just recently, she left a comment on a photo from the Critics’ Choice red carpet and said, “Thank God I can say I have something in common with Zendaya.”
Zendaya was wearing the same shielded top from Tom Ford crop top that Gwyneth also dressed for the February 2020 Harper’s BAZAAR cover.
Zendaya paired it with a maxi skirt just about right for the carpet during the 2020 Critics’ Choice Award. Gwyneth showed her excitement by commenting on that Instagram post.
This was not the first time that Zendaya wore the same outfit in September 2019. It was a gray printed Berluti suit with a double-breasted blazer and a matching shirt and tied to the Icons party from Harper’s BAZAAR. Seven months earlier, Michael B. Jordan also wore the same suit at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party but commented on a photo comparing the two of them as who rocked the outfit harder, ‘@zendaya hands down no contest.’
On the other hand, during the interview with Harper’s BAZAAR, Gwyneth exclaimed why she took a break from acting. She mentioned, “The last movie I starred in, I was pregnant with my daughter. It was a movie called Proof, an adaptation of a play I did in London, and I was like, ‘I’ve had it. I can’t do this anymore’. I had morning sickness and I was dying, and I had these five-page monologues. So, when I had her, I knew I was going to take a big chunk of time off. And I’ve never starred in anything again.”
She went on, saying, “When I was acting, I burned myself out. When the flywheel kicked in, I was doing three to five movies a year. I got to the point where even the little things, like sitting in the van going to set, getting your makeup touch-ups, and everything—I don’t know that I can bear it.”
She is also thankful for the marriage with Brad Falchuck. They got married one year ago, and after that, they didn’t need to rush to move in together. According to her, it was the wisest decision for the couple. “Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal, and we shouldn’t change a thing. So, our sex life is over. I thought it was really interesting how resonant that was for people. One of my best friends was like, ‘That is my dream. Don’t ever move in.’ I think it certainly helps with preserving the mystery and also preserving the idea that this person has their own life.”, she said.
She contemplated it and said, “So this is something I’m trying to remain aware of now as we merge.”
Falchuk is an Emmy award person as well and pushed her back to Netflix’s The Politician, a return that she is also grateful for. “Well, I semi-retired a bit from acting ‘because I have a company that I do, but I’m married to the writer, and he asked me to do the show, He said he was writing it for me… He’s very charming. He’s persuasive.”
