Here are the top 10 weekly idols on the K-pop channel NEW K.ID for the third week of July.
ASTRO dominates the NEW K.ID Idol chart this week! These boys have been in the spotlight in the past few weeks due to their upcoming comeback with their eighth mini album “SWITCH ON” on August 2nd. The album will include six songs, including their title track “After Midnight.” All members participated in the production of the album by composing or writing lyrics. This eighth mini album is a gift to the themselves as the group “ASTRO. In the album, they reflect upon the six years the boys have walked together as “ASTRO” in the past, and to celebrate to the years they will continue to as the group “ASTRO” in the future.
Coming at #2 is DREAMCATCHER. On July 30th the seven-member girl group will be comeback with their special mini album “Summer Holiday.” It has been six months since the group released its sixth mini-album ‘Dystopia: Road to Utopia’ released back in January. The new album will consist of six songs including the tile track “Because.”
At #3 is BLACKPINK. These record-breaking girls have done it again. Not only have they made it back on the NEW K.ID Idol Chart’s Top 3, but they have broken record for 600 million views on YouTube. BLACKPINK’s “Ice Cream” music video has hit over 600 million views in less than a year of the video’s release. Ice Cream is now BLACKPINK’s 10th music video to reach over 600 million views, making BLACKPINK the top-ranking K-POP girl group. At the time of Ice Cream’s initial release, it ranked 13th on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and gain more worldwide attention by featuring the renowned pop star Selena Gomez.

VICTION comes in #4. VICTION member Han Seung Woo has successfully finished up his promotional activities for his second mini album “Fade.” This was sadly his last release before his military enlistment.
Following up at #5 is ONF. ONF recently released a teaser for their upcoming summer popup album “Popping.” The teaser video shows ONF standing side by side in uniforms similar to that of boy scouts. ONF’s album is set to release on August 9th.
N.FLYING comes in at #6. ONEUS follows at #7. ONEUS recently revealed “ONEUS Theatre” teaser videos on their social media accounts. This special project came to a surprise by many, which is a new fan content incorporating popular film concepts.
Next up is WINNER at #8. WINNER’s MINO will join the new season of MNET’s “Show Me the Money 10” as a producer alongside Gray.
At #9 is woo!ah! And finally, at the #10 spot this week is Weeekly. The group recently revealed the tracks from their fourth mini album “Play Game: Holiday.” Weeekly will release their new album on August 4th.
