BTS was honored with the “Special International Music Award” at the 62nd Japan Record Awards.

BTS won the Special International Music Award at the 62nd Japan Record Awards, which was broadcast live on TBS on the 30th, and expressed its feelings through the video. It was recorded as the first winner of this year’s Special International Music Awards. Also, BTS was the only foreign artist to receive an award at this year’s Japan Record Awards.

“We won the Special International Music Award at the 62nd Japan Record Awards,” BTS said. Thank you very much. This has been a tough year around the world, and music has been a great help. I hope our song can give you a little bit of strength, too.

Through the video, the company also presented a performance of its digital single “Dynamite,” which was released in August, and the title song “Life Goes On” of its new album “BE (Deluxe Edition)” that will unveil the stage for the first time in Japan.

Meanwhile, BTS ranked third with 658,882 sales of “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY~” in the album ranking section of the Oricon chart “Sales by Works” released on the 25th. On the chart, “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7” and “BE” ranked fifth and 16th, respectively. A total of four albums, including “SKOOL LUV AFFAIR SPECIAL ADDITION,” ranked 89th, were ranked in the top 100. BTS also ranked second in the “Artist-specific Sales” category, which combines sales of singles, albums, streaming, and DVDs, and ranked seventh with “Dynamite” in the “streaming ranking.”
