MCND released “MCND AGE” on January 8, opening the door of K-POP in 2021 with confidence. Addictive guitar riffs and confident vocals seem to reveal MCND’s 2021 aspirations of “breaking the stage”.
They put their confidence into seven tracks. “LOUDER”, which inserts the sound of ice in a glass as an effect, reminiscent of their previous work “ICE AGE”, but develops more emotionally. Then, “KO, OK!” turns MCND from an artist on stage to a boxing champion, conveying their ambition to rocking the stage. Their momentum does not stop in “Not over” beyond the banger tracks such as “PLAYER” to “Outro; ㅁㅊㄴㄷ”. Especially “Not over”, putting a Korean dialect in a hook, sounds like a strong declaration that their passion continues even after the album ends.
You can check their shining guts through their latest album, and also change your doubts to acknowledgment for them. Their sensible songs and performances are enough to reflect their growth as a second-year singer.
If you are interested in them, please follow up on our interview with MCND. You have to hurry to catch up with those who want to create a new AGE of K-pop in their way!
