The girlfriend of R Kelly has been charged with a misdemeanour on his birthday at the Trump Tower on Wednesday.
There was a call to the police department in Chicago on Wednesday afternoon regarding a fight between two ladies in one of the residences of the building. The fight was in the 400-North Wabash of the building at around 2 PM.
It was a physical fight between two women, and someone had to separate them during the scene. They were yelling at each before the physical altercation started. The footage was even obtained live on Instagram.
At one point, one of the ladies’ phone fell to the ground and screaming can be heard, and people sundered to break up the two of them.
One woman, Azriel Clary, 22-year-old, had been taken to the Northwestern Hospital with some injuries (not yet know). Still, in a good condition whereas the other woman, Joycelyn Savage, 24-year-old, turned herself into the authorities and was charged with domestic battery.
The girlfriend fight was during the 53rd birthday of the singer, R Kelly. The Chicago police responded at 2:10 PM.
A spokesperson from the police department said, “call of a battery in progress inside of a residence involving two females”.
He added, “Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 22-year-old female victim who relayed that she and a 24-year-old female were engaged in a verbal altercation that became physical when the 24-year-old female offender struck the victim in the face.”
The spokesperson continued, “The female victim and the 24-year-old female offender were engaged in a physical altercation until separated by unknown individuals at the scene. The offender fled and is not in custody at this time. The 22-year-old female victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition.”
Investigators are still looking after what happened during the incident.
During the Instagram live, Clary made a video of herself talking to the authorities saying that Savage and another lady went to the apartment to get some of Kelly’s belongings and that was when the argument started.
She said, “This girl has been trying to sabotage me ever since the start of it all. It’s just gotten worse since we’ve moved in together at the Trump Tower. She’s so immature, and she knew I was packing my stuff to leave, so she decides to go on Instagram Live to cause a scene.”
Clary didn’t make any comment yet on the incident.
Meanwhile, the singer is still in federal prison in Chicago for several sex crime charges which include child pornography, racketing and obstruction of justice. He pleaded not guilty for all those charges. He also didn’t plead guilty over the racketeering cost.
The singer’s lawyer, Steve Greenberg, made a statement “I have a statement written by Azriel that she provided to me, voluntarily, after Robert was already in jail, that said she never had sex with him when she was underaged. As far as this little catfight, it is clear that it was staged to try and boost social media popularity.”
