Harry Potter fans rejoice now because Ron Weasley, aka Rupert Grint, spilled the beans about the sparks going on between Emma Watson and Tom Felton over the sets they were together during the filming of the film.
Grint commented, “There was always something” as he was interview by “Entertainment Tonight.” He added, “But we were kids. It was like any playground romance. I didn’t have any sparks. I was spark-free,” the 31-year-old said. And that he didn’t want to start anything.
In a recent cover story from Vogue, Emma Watson revealed that she is still single, although she chooses to use the word “self-partnered.”
Tom Felton then made a remark regarding that term she used and laughed as he said, “I like it! It’s the first I’ve heard of it, but it’s great. I’m in the same category, to be honest with you, quite happily self-partnered.
Harry Potter fans went wild when they saw Tom and Emma in a photo together playing the guitar in their pyjamas, and his caption was “Quick Learner x”… That was sometime in August 2019, whereas reunion of the Hogwarts was in November 2018.
Grint said the two artists could be together. He didn’t want to start any rumours, but there seemed to be some sparks in between. Harry Potter has been quite a big movie with eight installment series and thus covered a considerable portion of their lives, their childhood and teenage lives that is.
If there would be a revival of the films, they aren’t considering it. For them, it has been awkward stages of teenage life, which is why he chose not to watch them. He only just recently watched the first few series. He elaborated, “It was an amazing period of our lives, but I don’t think any of us would be keen to jump back into it. But never say never”.
In 2012, Watson said that she liked Felton when they were younger during an interview in the Jonathan Ross Show” Between the ages of 10 and 12, I had a terrible crush on Tom Felton. We love a bad guy, and he was a few years older, and he had a skateboard. And that just did it. He used to do tricks on it. He was so cool.” They remained friends over the years.
This epic romance will be something for Hollywood if these sparks turn into something. She calls him “dear friend” and congratulated Felton on the new TV series. There was also a video of them riding the skateboard together.
As of the writing, Grint is busy with ‘The Servant”, a psychological horror that also stars Free, Toby Kebbell and Lauren Ambrose. According to him, “It’s quite heavy and quite dark, but it also has these elements of the kind of surreal humour, and it’s got a lot going on.”
