WHO president, Corona 19 in accountability theory “world, you should have heard our advice”
“Declaration of international emergency in January…not all countries follow advice.”
Thewardros Adhanom, secretary general of the World Health Organization, Göbrough Yeosus, pointed out on the 27th (local time) that “the world should have listened carefully to WHO’s request for a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19).
According to the Telegraph, Secretary General Tewardros said in a video briefing that the WHO issued the highest level of alert at the beginning of the Corona 19 incident, but not all countries followed this advice.
He claimed that the WHO declared an international public health emergency (PHEIC) on January 30, when only 82 confirmed Corona 19 outside China.
“We have recommended that the world implement a comprehensive public health approach: to find cases, to inspect them, to isolate them and to track contacts,” the secretary general stressed.
“It is true that the countries that follow this are in a better position than others,” he said. “It is up to the countries to reject or accept the advice.
“If we do not unite, the virus will exploit the gap between us to create confusion,” he said, repeatedly emphasizing international cooperation to combat Corona 19.
The WHO has been criticized for procrastinating the Pandemic (world-class pandemic) declaration even as the number of Corona 19 confirmed in and out of China is soaring.,Some pointed out that the organization ignored the seriousness of the situation by looking at China’s attention.
The U.S. suspended funding for the WHO this month, citing the Corona 19 insolvency response, which President Donald Trump claimed was biased toward China even with the U.S. as its biggest sponsor.
